Just like indoor furniture, it is also important to wisely choose these lounge chairs for the simple reason that it is a financial investment. Besides, one cannot deny the fact that outdoor furniture is the first thing that others see on entering the house and, hence, serves as the basis for first impressions.
The well polished wooden chair with leather cover foam mattresses is still "IN" and its class statement is evident from its excessive use at five stars hotels, upscale spas and expensive beach houses. Though these classic looking lounge chairs have one great disadvantage as well they are not generally resistant to water, therefore they are required to be used with extreme care and caution and might require regular maintenance and polish so that the wood work is not tarnished with the passage of time.
Secondly, they are water-resistant, unlike the wood and cotton foam types. They are very practical to have around the pool or beach because they can get wet without being damaged or soaked.
Till a few years back there were just two different types of lounge chairs available, the classical and the contemporary. But, of late, a third type is slowly making its way on the scene and is being appreciated. They are taking the world by storm and are being appreciated by those who love modern art to be integrated into their lifestyle. Details of some of them are provided below.
