Many manufacturers these days are creating a variety of chairs that combine unique materials with leather and have come up with some creative designs that look awesome. Teak and leather or polished aluminum frame with a textured cow pattern can really be a talking point in your home. Do not be afraid to consider a unique leather chair with some more traditional furniture to add a bit of flair to your living room.
Keep your leather furniture away from areas where temperatures are hot, such as fire places, and windows where the sun shines directly through. One alternative is to have darker curtains in the room where you will have your leather furniture, to keep the sun from even shining through the curtains onto the black leather couches. Radiators would also be something that you will need to keep your furniture away from as well.
For non-finished leather chairs, use an art-gum eraser and erase the dirt from the chair. This is essentially the only way to clean this type of chair. You might have to clean the entire chair this way. For water-resistant chairs, use the eraser to clean up minor dirt spots.
Another thing that you also need to keep in mind about black leather chairs and any other dark colored leather chair is that too much exposure to the sunlight can cause the furniture to fade. This will depreciate the value of the furniture and cause it to not look as nice as it did when you first bought it. The leather of the sofa will also become dry from being exposed to the sun too much, and this can also cause cracking to occur a lot quicker.
